The first step for find the correct fit is to find out your actual bra size, we have provided a diagram below to help you find the best fit. MEASURING FOR THE CORRECT SIZE BRA
Step 1 - Determine Your Band Size For the most accurate fit be sure to stand up straight and relaxed while taking measurements. Keeping the measuring tape parallel with the ground, measure around your bra directly under your bust after expelling all air from your lungs - you want this measurement to be as small as possible. Round all fractional measurements to the nearest whole number. When you take these measurements, round to the closest whole inch, either up or down. For example, if your measurement is 29 3/8", round to 29". If your measurement is 29 1/2" or more, round to 30". Step 2 - Determine Your Cup Size Place the tape measure across the fullest part of the breast (while wearing a non-padded bra) making sure the measuring tape is parallel with the ground and not binding. Wrapping it from the front to back. This time however you do not want the tape measure to be pulled tight. Hold the tape measure loosely across your breasts just snug enough to remain straight across the back without falling. If one of your breasts is significantly larger, put some type of padding in the cup of the smaller breast to make it even with the larger breast before taking your measurement. Step 3 - Calculate Your Bra Size Subtract your band measurement (step 1) from your cup measurement (step 2). Generally, for each inch in difference, the cup goes up by one size. Example: Step 1: 34" under measurement +4" = 38" band We suggest that through our experience and our professional bra fitters experience the best time to measure for a nursing bra is about two weeks after delivery. At this time your milk is in, your swelling has gone down and your breast size is pretty well established. If you are planing on buying a MommyMilk® tank during pregnancy it's best to measure for a nursing tank at the end of your pregnancy. As you know; your breasts increase in size during pregnancy. They get even larger when your milk comes in; usually by about one cup size. They may or may not gradually return to roughly your late-pregnancy size. Our tanks our designed with an elastic chest band and will adjust to accommodate these in-between sizes; measuring for a MommyMilk® tank is late pregnancy will be just fine.
